Pear and Maple Liquor CabinetThis cabinet was based on the Macallan Linley liquor case. It's made of Swiss Pear and figured soft Maple. All veneers were shop sawn and vacuum pressed.
Oak Borge Morgeson ChairThis is a Borge Morgeson caned chair that i designed to fit my size and style of sitting. I built two of these chairs for myself and my parents. To date, this is the only project I've caned, but I expect at some point to design my own chair with a caned or danish chord seat as it's quite comfortable.
Claro Walnut Book CaseWalnut is one of my favorite woods, especially with a clear finish! This cabinet is rift sawn walnut, which produces straight grain giving it a more modern look. The gap between the heavy wood top and the case creates a nice shadow line and further adds to the modern look. The backs are ply, allowing to play with the grain orientation to mimic the size of the opening.
Wenge Hanging Jewelry CabinetWenge wood with Japanese paper and loosely based on a Japanese design where four rectangles overlap each other without having all four corners meet in the center. The bottom left trays are removable and hung by a french cleat.
Alder Coffee TableHand shaped legs that protrude through the top, hand cut dovetailed drawer with solid Alder bottom and a hidden drawer box are a few of the details that make this relatively simple project a bit more interesting.
Cherry Hanging CabinetSolid Cherry cabinet with resawn and bookmatched doors that include sap wood creating the vertical strips of lighter wood. The case and drawers are hand cut dovetails and the inside of the cabinet has a maple back to add light, contrasting the darker Cherry tones.
